Dormers

Ok start at the level of your floor. The wood will not show in the style I am going to do.

Put your dormers in BEFORE you put the roof on. If you add them to the roof afterward they
won't look right.

OK  the first row of roof goes on that floor level under your dormers. I have planned one dormer a side. A large 3 block opening for front and back and a small 1 block opening on each side.
Sometimes it is helpful to lay down dirt to place blocks on. OH and I should say you are better off doing layer by layer all around the house. This is especially true if you have an odd set up of dormers or an strange roof shape. I didn't do that in this demo because I wanted to get it to you
faster lol.

You can see when you do it that way WHERE
you need to make your turns and inside corners.
Shows the merging roof with dormers.

The larger dormer is higher than the smaller one.
And since it is an odd number you will have a one block at the top.

You use the lil triangle one at the top. and it melts into the roof line.

Other side of the large dormer.....how it would go into the regular roof. Remember you would be doing this all around your roof. From bottom to top.

I like to use the OTHER blocks and put steps upside down to pretty the dormers. For some reason it won't let me place the regular roof blocks here.

Be sure to check and see that the flowers are connected to the Mana spreader. Use your wand in bind mode. It can be fussy to get it to line up right. Right shiftclick the spreader and hold then click on the flower. Or is it the other way around...
Anyway it should look like this when it is connected right..

First steps

To begin you want these things, lots of bones, lexicon, seeds.....not the blue stuff, the lapis. Sixteen flowers. You don't have to have them all to begin, but I like to. You HAVE to have white, cyan, and dark blue to begin with.
Next make a petal apothecary. I like to have a water source near it. Make a pure daisy.
Ring your daisy with wood logs until it changes to living wood.

Make a few batches of wood and then use stone to make living stone.
Next use your living wood to set up a Hydroangeas tank to generate mana. Fill with water.
This is a mana collection system. You need 4 Hydroangeas, the water tank, a Mana spreader and Mana pool. You will need to make a Wand of the Forest to be able to point the spreader at the pool. The Hydroangeas wear out and you will have to replace them.
